    I like wearing long socks in the winter since I live in the mountains of Colorado. I saw these online at STP & though they are boot socks (and I don't wear western boots), I liked the look & description. So....I chanced it because of the price. When they came in & I put them on, I immediately loved them. I like the padding in the shin area & in the foot area. They are thin, but seem to be warm. I am happy with my purchase.
