Three Birds Casual Teak Wood Dining Set - 13-Piece, Rectangular Extension Table

Closeouts. Gorgeous teak wood in a light natural finish makes a beautiful backdrop for gourmet picnics, and this 13-piece dining set from Three Birds Casual is elegantly simple in its design. Side and arm chairs are designed with comfortably contoured seats and extended backs with lumbar support.

  • Teak wood is an extremely dense-grained hardwood with a high oil content that's naturally resistant to moisture, rot, warp, shrinkage, splinters, mold and insects
  • Three Birds Casual accepts only Grade A, plantation-grown teak to protect old-growth forests
  • Products are designed using mortise and tenon joinery with locking wood dowels
  • Where hardware is necessary, it is of the highest quality brass
  • Stainless steel is used where hardware is unseen, or where extra strength is needed
  • Furniture is hand finished to a smooth polish using ultrafine abrasive materials; no oils or waxes applied prior to delivery
  • Extension table can accommodate 8 or 12 dinner guests
  • The design of the double extension leaf allows for an umbrella to be used in both open and closed positions, eliminating the need to remove umbrella when changing table size

I am very happy with this set. The chairs are very comfortable. It is a bit too crowded to have all ten chairs at one time down the sides, but in a pinch you could certainly fit twelve at the table. I had my handy man assemble the set, and it took him most of a day to do the assembly and gluing. In one chair the screw came through the front a bit after going through the pre-drilled holes, but he was able to glue and sand the cracked bit so that you can't even see it. Just be careful in assembly. Quite an elegant dining set.

We built a new deck and wanted something special and longlasting. Buying this set online was definitely a risk, but at the Sierra coupon discount price it was much less expensive than any other teak options, so we decided to go for it, and we are thrilled with what we got. This is an excellent set. Easy assembly, but one hint: for the side chairs, put glue into the mortise not on the tenon as they suggest, because of the angle you have to put the pieces at to fit them together, you'd get glue all over the place. Other than that, assembly took some time and attention, but came out great. Excellent product in every way.
