Tilley

Since wintering in Florida, my husband and I have realized we just can't use our usual ball cap hats in the beating sun. I have vitiligo, and my husband is fair. I need a hat that keeps the rays off my face and neck, while being light weight and sun reflecting. This hat does the trick. It is so comfortable you forget you have it on. You don't realize how strong the sun is until you take it off--amazing. We wear them out in our kayaks all day. We loved them so much, I ordered two more for spares. We don't leave home without them.

I was having trouble finding a hat that would keep the sun off my face and neck while kayaking. This hat is wonderful. I was very careful measuring my head and following the guidelines. It fits like it was made for me. I have a really small head, and the 6.3/4 is great. I couldn't find this size in a store, so I was really happy it was offered at STP. From the first time I put it on, I knew it was going to be my best friend. I have since ordered another one for a spare. I don't go anywhere here in Florida without it. It is light, deflects direct sunlight, has a strap for wind--so important when you are out in the water. I wear it all day, and it never gets sweaty or uncomfortable. I love it.

This Tilley hat is great for hiking and is one of the few hats that come in size 8.

These hats are everything wonderful that is said about them. However, I'm returning the hat for the 2nd time because it is still too big. Beware that the measurement advice about sizing Tilley hats does not seem to be accurate. Order at least two sizes smaller.

great outdoors keep sun and rain off face

I needed a hat I could take along while kayaking. This hat is easy to carry in a spare pocket, and it can take the wind with the double strap. It is light weight and reflects intense sun. It is just what I wanted, and at a great price.

Take the time to measure your head for the right hat size. My husband tried one on in the store, and then we bought it here. He worked outside all summer, and this hat protected him from harsh sunlight. Why pay retail when you have Sierra Trading Post?

good brim and weight for outdoor activities, like the snap up brim for aussie look... nylon does not quite have the feel of old tilley hats but is still a very nice, comfortable, serviceable hat

Just like my "real" Tilley hat but all nylon. Unbeatable at this price.
