5.0 out of 5 stars. Classic Chelsea Boot with sturdy comfort
Reviewed by Alpenglow from Chicago, IL on Thursday, September 18, 2014
I already one another pair of Timberland Earthkeepers with a side zipper. They are one of the most comfortable pairs of boots I own and I have worn them both hiking and wandering around big city museums. They are still going strong after 3 years of use. I was thrilled to see these without the side zip for such a reasonable price. I got the cognac pair hopping they'd be more reddish than rust colored and they are. I could certainly wear them with browns but they also look great with wine and burgundy colored clothes. I ordered my normal 8.5, I am usually 8.5 or 39 in European sizes and they fit just fine. There is plenty of room to wear them with tights or a light to mid weight wool sock. I wore them straight out of the box and they were immediately comfortable. You do have to pull a bit to get them on but I have noticed they are softening up with each wearing. They are sturdy in construction but the style is fashionable enough to wear with skirts. I am also thrilled the boots use recycled materials.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Best Pair of Shoes I've Ever Owned
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Karen from Ann Arbor on Thursday, November 13, 2014
I walked eight miles in these shoes yesterday and my feet were neither tired nor sore at the end of the day, yet they are nice enough for business casual. They seem to be a little on the large size, but work well with thicker sucks.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Too narrow
Reviewed by Mom'o'4 from Central Indiana on Sunday, October 19, 2014
I ordered 1/2 size up so there would be enough room to add an insole. The boots were plenty long, but too narrow. Technically I have medium width feet, but I'm developing bunions and these boots aggravate them. Too bad, they seem to be well made otherwise.

These are great!! Fit true to size, though they are fairly narrow. They are perfect for fall, I've worn them with leggings, skinny jeans, etc and I love them!
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Classic, comfortable

These boots were comfortable on the first wearing, some arch support. Nice darker brown color which will go with jeans, black pants or other colors. I will probably wear thinner socks with these in order to slip them on most easily. True to size. Toe area is comfortable.

About Timberland

The Timberland footwear brand was officially launched in 1973, more than two decades after founder Nathan Swartz bought an interest in an established shoe company. Eight years earlier, the Swartz family had introduced injection-molding technology to the footwear industry. Today, this revolutionary manufacturing process is still being used to fuse the soles and uppers of Timberland boots without stitching, a process that allows for truly waterproof boots. Over the years, Timberland shoes and boots have continued to advance, incorporating modern features like Active Comfort Technology to provide a balance of cushioning, support and climate control. In 2008, Timberland also became the first footwear company to commercialize the use of rubber from recycled tires.
