“These boots have been through every climate that Afghanistan and Iraq could throw at me! The soles take a bit of getting used to. There are included "Sizers" that allow a narrow to wide fit for you. I have even slept in these boots! ;-( But they are comfortable enough to do so! :-)
Timberland needs to place pull on straps, top speed lacers and a tounge loop; in order to be put on faster. A zipper on the side would solve this problem though.
I have been in ground and air combat, if you are an Aviator/Pilot, these are the boots for you to get, out of the "Desert Force" series. I used them flying rotary and fixed wing aircraft. They are pleasant to fly in.
I am on my 8th tour as a AF Reservists in GWoT and SWA. I have ordered 3 pairs of these boots and am still wearing my first pair in the field. I wished that I had these during my first deployment over 20 years ago!”
