I bought these shoes for hiking. The last pair of hiking shoes I bought were uncomfortable, without much room in the toe box. These shoes were comfortable out of the box. This shoe was oddly loose around the top for me, and I could not tighten the laces enough to make it fit securely. Other than that, the shoe felt comfortable, but I just felt like it was about to fall off. The color was unappealing, too -- like beige nursing shoes.

I bought these shoes for hiking. The last pair of hiking shoes I bought were uncomfortable, without much room in the toe box. These shoes were comfortable out of the box. The shoe sole seems to naturally roll with each step. Perhaps this is due to the Vibram technology. I planned to use them mainly for hiking and trail walking. However, since they're waterproof, I've worn them out and about. Overall, I don't think I could beat the price or the quality. Timberland continus to impress me.
