They are very comfortable but I find the best socks to wear with a sherpa boot like this, are thin cotton socks, like by Gold Toe for example (which happens to be the ones I wear). I am happy with my purchase. I am an overweight person with a medium width foot and they fit well. However, I find that all Timberland boots I have purchased so far that have the seam over the arch of the foot tend to be low and press on your metatarsals. I recommend you go a 1/2 size bigger than you are for comfort. Otherwise, great boot!
