OK. A little more "bulky" than expected. Very "stiff" shoulder strap. Padded, but bulky.

It's a good messenger bag for travel. But I didn't expect that I couldn't adjust the length of the strap, and the strap holder kept falling.

There's no doubt that the built quality of this bag is great. Could be excellent for carrying a netbook. But the strap design, well, long enough for a ten year old boy or an average height woman, but not for a man. It seems like the designer was more focused on making the strap so that it could be shortened to be carried as a handle than if the strap was long enough. If you plan on carrying this over one shoulder, across your neck, to hang down on the other side, it'll be tickling your armpit.

I substituted this bag for a purse.

This bag is a great size and color and has great compartments/organization. However I did not like the awkward strap adjustment on the side of the bag - so unfortunately I'm sending it back.

I'm a graduate student and use this as a day to day bag going to work and class. It's great! Just enough room for the daily essentials but not too bulky.

I weighed the pros and cons between this Timbuk2 and the Transit (travel specific). I ended up choosing this one because as a 5'10" female, the strap on the transit just wasn't long enough for me. Also, for traveling, I liked the security of having both the buckles and the velcro instead of just velcro for the outside pockets. This bag is the perfect size for a water bottle, any cards/cash/etc., a book, camera, sunglasses and a couple other things. I have been looking for a travel bag for quite awhile, and I have finally found it!
