As a parent of two kids living in Manhattan, I often need to carry a lot of stuff with me on foot. A messenger bag is the perfect solution since it is expandable, comfortable and rugged. I bought this bag to replace one that I have owned for about 10 years and I am very satisfied with it so far. With this bag, don't expect lots of fancy pockets. It does have a number of well-designed small internal pockets for carrying a wallet, pens, etc. But the bulk of the inside is just an absolutely huge interior space. Apart from the large capacity, the bag also seems very sturdy.

I must admit, I'm locally dedicated to my Timbuk2 bags. With their amazing strength, durability, style, and comfort, I always find myself reaching for the Timbuk2 over any other messenger bag I own.

I use this bag everyday for school and anything else. Since I am a grad student, I tend to have a lot of books and papers to carry, and this bag easily fits everything I need. My only complaint is that there is no pocket on the flap itself. If you need to get anything from the bag, you have to open the front flap. I know this makes it more weather proof, but it would still be nice if there was something there. Not a big problem at all though. Very minor issue

Well-constructed messenger bag with excellent capacity and some good interior pockets. A top handle for ease of overhead bin retrieval would have gotten it 5 stars (although this suggested feature is stylisticaly not inherent to messenger bag design). Well-priced and nicely-executed.

I wanted a quality, stylish, large capacity messenger bag to carry my paperwork and other office necessities back and forth to work. I got exactly what I wanted, but the bag is so big and strong that I often load it to a capacity that makes it a heavy haul. I would like to be able to expand the adjustable shoulder strap more than the product allows. Also, a suitcase-type hand carrying handle would be a nice addition to the bag. This is a very nice product that lives up to what one would expect from a Timbuk2 offering.

I prefer not to drive, so this bag gets used to carry whatever I need to get from point A to point B. Books, groceries, extra clothes, beer and/or picnic supplies all fit. The Large is a good size - not too huge, but big enough to carry as much weight as I'm comfortable with on my back. That said, it's not the most comfortable bag. The strap system can be awkward with larger loads and the lack of padding become obvious when you're carrying a couple cases of beer and ice. For me, this was a test to see if I like the one-strap style messenger bag. It's solid, but not amazing. Durability is tops. A big factor to consider is that, at least where I am, everybody has a Timbuk2 bag. Timbuk2 is a company based around bringing this sort of bag to the mainstream (they succeeded), so that's to be expected. All in all, a good purchase.

Was shocked to see how large this bag really is. I have been wanting something to carry all that extra baby stuff that isn't hideous or hard to carry. This is great! We are also heading to Hawaii in the summer and look forward to using this bag as a carry-on. We will be able to fit SO much stuff in it and then use it once we are there!

I use it to tote around books and resources in a mobile job. Very durable. Extra pockets/compartments are great!
