Timbuk2 Classic Messenger Bag - XL

It fits everything a serious biker needs, especially emergency tool kit, change of clothes, rain gear, et. al.

I use this to carry several notebooks and a small case every day. It is plenty large enough to hold all I need to put in it.

I needed a bag large enough for a small instrument, music stand and binders. Finally found something large enough. It is bigger than I needed, so still considering whether to keep it. It's a great, very sturdy bag.

I bought this bag to use for a school book bag. It arrived and it was really well built and just as described. I used it for less then a week and found it was just too large to be practical for me. It would not fit under a desk or hang off the back of chair without being an obstruction. But do not take this as a slam I just order the wrong size. I returned this item for credit to buy another version of this bag in a smaller size. If you need a BIG BAG this is it.

great bag though I was surprised that a shoulder pad was not included. It was easy to buy a pad. i found one at r.e.i. for[$]

I've been using it for a 15 minute walk to the grocery store. Works great as long as you don't try to put an entire cartful in. Good on my Harley also at sub-65mph speeds. My only gripes are that the strap clamp doesn't seem to settle in it's closed position solidly (the 2010 bags have this redesigned) And the bag did not come with a strap pad - that's annoying. I still really like it though. Looks like it can hold at least 2 12-packs of pop also in the long cardboard boxes. I'm going to look for a container that will keep the bread from getting squeezed. Nice, high-quality product. This is my second Timbuk2 bag and I am still using the first one (laptop messenger).

The Good: If your looking for a load monster this is it! The bag will work for a large carry on, provided the plane is a bit bigger. It does exceed the carry on size so on smaller flights you'll have to gate check. The bag is very well built and should last a lifetime for most, at least several years for even the hardest customers. Carrys as comfortably on a bike, duh, or just around as anything of this size. The not so Good: If you need a lot of ability to organize things, this might not be the bag for you. There is one pouch with some compartments for pens, etc and zippered area the will fit a notebook, but that's all. It works for me...sorta, and I can see it being a problem for many. The fact that it doesn't come with a shoulder pad just feels like a cheap out. But they are available in many styles for ~10-15, so I guess that allows you to "customize". The main pouch is a flap only to seal things in. If you've got smaller stuff loose I suppose it could bounce out, never seen it, but I can imagine it.

This bag a has a very large capacityan is very strong and durable. It can carry everything I would like to bring. I wish it had more organization for loose items.
