Timbuk2 Classic Wool Messenger Bag

Nice bag, but too large for my daily commute on public transit.

Good bag for the price. It could use a buckle on the strap to lengthen the strap for easier removal.

I specifically bought this bag to use as a yoga mat carrier (under the outside flap), but it's such a roomy and versatile bag that I'm going to use it for everything from an airline carry-on to a regular gym bag. I'm not sure that it would make a great laptop carrier, though, which I think I've seen other people suggest that they want to use it for; although it's nice enough looking for that, I like a bag with a little more structure to protect my laptop.

I have a lot of Timbuk2 bags which I cannot recommend highly enough for durability and easy recognisability. Whenever I carry a Timbuk2 bag I'm carrying a little bit of San Francisco with me. This bag rocks because unlike a lot of Timbuk2 bags, it can also go formal. The wool makes it formal enough for the office commute everyday. I get so many comments from people who do not know about Timbuk2 bags and they ask me where I got it from. I just love its style and class. Yet I still get the easy over shoulder carry and pretty capacious interior. It carries all my stuff for work, gym, and the daily commute. Like another reviewer I also prefer it without a fixed laptop insert so I can use the bag how I please and put my laptop in it in its regular cover. Get one now I am not sure Timbuk2 will ever do the wool again so grab it if it sounds like it will suit you.

Love it! The bag is a great size for daily commuting (I usually carry a few notebooks in it plus my laptop in a timbuk2 sleeve), and it's also great to use as a carry-on for flights. Unlike other reviewers, I actually appreciate that the laptop sleeve is not built in because it enhances the flexibility of the bag

great bag for daily bicycle commute - fits everything i need for classes and more. very spacious inside. no special padding for laptop. straps are long enough for big frame but can easily be cut to customize. awesome (optional) reflectors. enough pockets for all my little stuff. could be even better if the main strap had a buckle for easy on/off.

The bag is great looking but not very practical since its size and weight limit functionality.

I use this bag constantly for personal and business. It almost never leaves my side/back. I like it mostly because it has a large capacity and also has very convenient fitting adjustments that allow the weight to be distributed on my upper rather than lower back for bike commuting but then loosened for the rest of the day. Plus the wool looks pretty shnazzy. I am slightly concerned about how durable the wool will be but only time can tell. I think it was worth the money but you can get the same bag for like 40 bucks other places but usually in ugly colors. Just something to consider...

Would have given it five stars if it had a handle on top. It is sometimes difficult to carry only by the shoulder strap.
