Timbuk2 Covert Reflective Messenger Bag - Medium

A well made bag from Timbuk2, if your looking for a bag that will survive the elements and your daily grind, this is the bag for you, worth every penny.

I love this bag. It works wonders in keeping me organized when I travel. Pockets for the blackberry, i-pod, camera, tickets, business cards, etc. A clip to keep the keys in an easy to identify place. It works well on family bike rides and is easily adjusted to stay out of the way and comfortable.

As a footloose guy on city pavements, I have a few Timbuk2 messenger bags. This one is totally top-notch in quality. Has the very light-weight and flexable premier x-pac side panels with the first semi-matrix reflective weave on each side of the 3M central panel. The center panel is not noticeable at all in daylight. I had to use a bright LED flash-light to see how it would work at night. It's very, very faint in daylight if at all and then reflective for night car headlights. This high-level bag is assembled in the SF factory. It has that CK products look, feel, design,and craftmanship level. This means you get first pick of restaurant tables and a welcome smile from all. It's casual but upscale at the same time. Only issue I had with bag was it has extra bottom-of-bag tighting straps that got in the way and tangled iwth the closure straps with reflective tabs. I just cut them off with scissors and am glad I did. Now when I reach for the straps to lock the bag flap in place, it's easier and less bothersome. Otherwise this is simply a stunner Timbuk2 product. It sure gets the passerby approval looks and nice comments. Feels like I should own an Apple notebook to go with it as it's so upscale amd well made with it's top-notch performance and materials. This is the bag I take to work on the Muni underground train and up to the 47th Floor. It's black and says business and it fits well on any of the floors or offices or meetings in the building. I really am happy with the capacity of the bag, it's fairly comfortable on my shoulder, it's light weight compared to what I expected, and it is nice looking and reflects headlights, however I bike commute with this bag stuffed with multiple books, personal items, lunch, change of clothing, etc and the lack of a stabilizing strap as I negotiate the dangerous LA traffic is an issue for me. Although it has yet to cause any problem, it's not extremely stable in its position on my back and I'd hate to think that in an emergency situation it could make things worse. I will rig up a stabilizing strap soon, i just wish it had come with one.

Timbuk2 makes quality bags. I especially like the open space of the bags, which let me organize as I please. The Covert reflective panel is subtle but noticeable in the dark. This model works for me, because it can cross over from casual to work. It came with an additional strap, to wear around the waist while biking and such. I looked around online and compared, and Sierra Trading Post had the best prices.
