    Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
    Looks great from the front. The back is padded foam, not the same attractive material shown for the front; better for slinging over your back than carrying to a meeting. I don't need all that external padding. Also, there weren't many pockets accessible without opening the whole bag, which I don't like for commuting on the subway when I want to put away my newspaper or palm pilot quickly.
