    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    For heavy books or computers, this would not be the ideal choice since there is no structure or padding to prevent items from chaffing in to your back. Also the flap means only one real means of access, and a bit cumbersome, howewer, that also gives the pack better weather protection. Well constructed and high quality material. If you don't mind the design, it could be a good choice.

    Just rode with this bag carrying ten books and a bag of groceries with no trouble or pain. The straps, which I was a bit apprehensive about, fit well and despite being thin are very comfortable. It's too early to say how durable the bag will be but so far I'm very happy with it.

    It is not bulky, no extra padding that will slow you down or make your back hot when you are riding your bicycle. It has laptop pouch that opens on the side so you don't have to take the pack off to get your laptop. This is ideal for backpacking and travel. I can fit so much in there and it is comfortable. Quality product with style that is functional. I would recommend it.
