The shoes are very comfortable and easy to get in and out of. They have a very good sole that transmits your power to the pedal. Very solid shoe.

I bought these shoes mostly for bike commuting on my hybrid and have only used them for about 2 weeks. They are still "off-gassing" - a strong plastic smell which I hope will abate over time. I'm used to my old leather Carnacs, so this is a big change in materials. I noted above that the tongue is long/stiff and actually is annoying because I wear short cycling socks. Otherwise, good fit, good adjustments, solid shoe.
    • Best Uses: Commuter shoes, Everyday riding
    • Cons: Annoying long tongue
    • Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational
    • Pros: Multiple fit adjustments, Stiff sole
    • Sizing: Feels true to size

i've had these for a about a month now but waited to use them during a race to finally give a review. the temp outside was about 60 and i had wool socks. unlike others, my feet did not overheat, and i would say my feet can get hot at times. shoe does seem to be not so very ventilated but does just fine. comfortable to walk in, just enough extra room around the foot so it doesn't feel tight or like it may get tight. i use time atac pedals and they fit perfectly. not sure how these shoes will do in mud, but in sand, dirt and gravel they work well. i don't know how they'll hold up but they look durable to start with.
    • Best Uses: Long-distance riding
    • Cons: Finicky Closures
    • Describe Yourself: Competitive Cyclist
    • Pros: Durable Sole, Good for Walking, Good Traction, Simple to Use
    • Sizing: Feels true to size
    • Was this a gift?: No
    • Width: Feels true to width

  • Question “In the size area you decribe the euro 46 as "Euro Sizes Available:46 (US: M Size 11½, F 12½)". Weird as Euro 46 is usually 12.5 or so...|Later in the reviews people refer to these as half size large. That seems in conflict with you saying these are a half size small compared to a standard Euro 46. |Please explain.”

    • Answer The sizing for the Time Sport MXS MTB Cycling Shoes is given to us directly from Time. Sizing does tend to differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. This often explains the slight size differences
