Nice substantial twill. I will wear this as a second layer during field work to ward off mosquitos and ticks. Also for some protection from scratches during bush whacking. I am a 10, but often between a med and large, because of ample chest (DD). I ordered large. As a second layer, it will give me plenty of room to move.

I purchase insect repellent clothing quite a bit for mosquito heaven Minnesota. This shirt is perfect when I have to be outside during the evening hours, I'll take a little heat (it is long sleeved after all) over bugs anytime. While cleaning fish, I watched the mosquitoes swarm around my hands but not even light on the shirt. Great product at an even better price!
    • Best Uses: Outside activities
    • Pros: Cool cotton, Keeps bugs off

The large was too small for my shoulders, thought that's a common problem for me, returned it. Seemed worth a try if you can get the right size.

I have purchased insect shield clothing before and it works great! I like cotton in the summer months because it's cooler and am thankful this shirt was available. I purchased an insect shield cotton shirt once before but couldn't find one again until now. Fit is true to size. Thanks for having it!!!

I bought two. Really well made. On the heavy side so this is a shirt not to wear for hot temps especially if you are doing strenuous activity. I used mine while hand splitting wood in tick infested area. Temps were upper 70's, and I would say you would not want to wear it for that sort of activity if it was much warmer. I did not find any Ticks on me. I was wearing the Exofficio socks, and hat as well and was not pestered by any insects. I did not use any repellent. I use to apply DEET, but I do not believe that stuff is very good for you to use all the time. You may have to if bugs are really bad. I am thinking about buying a couple more of these shirts. Very Durable. Would be good to put on after hard hiking to ward off bugs. Wood be great for Fall hiking. I would recommend this shirt for hunting especially if you hunt where there are a lot of ticks. Who cares about soiling a shirt if it helps keeps you from getting Lyme.
