Great $ savings with STP. Returned first pair due to several mfg. blems...STP was KIND in helping me through the exchange process. That said, the USA quality is not what it used to be w/these Tony Lama boots. I got a comparable pair in butternut colored toe w/ black 13" shaft some 3 years ago. Leather was soft in toe and shaft...these being rated here do feel like they were made from aged---well aged leathers---good for wines, but not boots!

While I prefer the non slip and durability aspect of rubber outsoles on most of my western boots, I was looking for a pair to wear for slightly nicer occasions, and the leather outsoles and semi gloss black uppers fit the bill. Fit, finish and workmanship all appear first class, they broke in quickly and are really comfortable.........the great price, combined with USA production just sweetened the deal

Bought my first pair of Tony Lama in the late 70's, they lasted, reheeled & resoled several times, I should have made a lamp out of them, they were a classic. These a great replacements, a little more tradition in the fit witha tight vamp and narower width for a D. These will need some mild break in but will feel like a glove when they are. Purple shaft adds flair.
