Tony Lama Sundance Cowboy Boots - 13", Z-Toe (For Men)

Size-wise: The folks at Llama are obviously still using the same lasts that they had a dozen years ago, so if you know your size, you're good to go. The leather is clear & smooth and takes a shine well, so these will dress up nicely if you need to take it up a notch or two; in fact if you're willing to put in the effort, you could probably get these as dressy as a boot ever needed to be... Just don't let anybody see the purple shaft unless your tie and cummerbund match. Yeah, I got married in boots, so what do I know? About the only thing that keeps these short of a 5-star rating is that they aren't pegged and rolled and 100% leather everywhere you look like Real Boots ought to be. If you know enough about boots to know what the difference is, you can decide whether that's a deal-breaker for you; if you don't, it ain't. At the price, I let it go because the leather's so good.

Only one thing not to like about these, which is that the soles are not hand-rolled and pegged the way that a Proper boot ought to be. At their list price, I had figured that they would be... Apart from that, they fit just like the Lamas I bought over a dozen years ago; the leather in the vamp & heel is smooth and clear & takes a nice shine. And for my money, these can be worn with anything from blue jeans to a tux, if you're willing to shine 'em and your pants are hemmed to the right length. No, they're nothing really fancy, but they do have a little extra character with the purple shafts.

Shoes fit well. I wanted the color combination (black and purple) so I ordered shoes that I know would be a hint too wide. They still fit fine. There was a nail top that was sticking up slightly in the left shoe, but enough so that I felt it when I walked. I had to hammer it down inside the shoe, and now it feels fine. Comfortable.

Another quality Tony Lama boot added to the collection. Sierra cannot be beat for great prices and great friendly service. This is a great all around boot, well made and able to dress up or casual with jeans.

I don't usually comment, but these boots deserve kudos. Well made, solid, better-looking than photos give them credit. It's great to see and walk in high-quality American made boots. These may convert me to Tony Lama for some time, away from Keen, etc.
