I believe it is a good value for the money I paid, the larger fit (on me) is a common occurrence thus nothing that would dissuade me from purchasing these vests again.

Reviewed by ESElrond from North Hills, CA on Thursday, October 11, 2012These sweater vests are well-made and attractive, in a nice palette of colors, but with one major caveat: they run noticeably small. I already own a Toscano long-sleeved cardigan, which fits quite nicely in size XL (I wear 46R suits), which is consistent with other brands of sweaters I own. When the vests I ordered (also XL) arrived, however, it was immediately clear that they were too small. Each of the vests I received measured 22" to 22.5" across the chest when laid flat. There is no way they could properly fit someone with a 46" chest -- let alone 48"! Ultimately, I was able to exchange them for the next size up (XXL), and the replacements fit me well, though even size XXL might be too snug for someone with a 48" chest. I would recommend that you order one size larger than normal, at least if you can and if you have a fairly typical physique. If you're especially trim, you might be able to get away with your normal size. If you're a "true" size XXL, then...you're probably out of luck.
