I have walked into the lake wearing these and have had no issues with water leaking inside. These will be used for working near the lake and in the yard. My main purpose for purchasing them was to have them available for deployment to puppy mill raids when our volunteer organization is called upon. Comfort is very important and is not something that I have had much luck in finding in work/rain boots until I got these. Also, I like that these are not too tall but still would allow me to be in several inches of muck or water when necessary. The suggestion for... half sizes order up... worked well for me.
