    These are super high quality nice pants, only beware there is nothing "tropic" about them- they are a good heavy weight, right now perfrectly comfortable in windy 25-30 degree weather.

    Heavyweight, quality cotton twill. Bought them based on all the positive reviews and wasn't disappointed. These could be sold by any of several upscale or trendy brands and people would pay many more times the price. The waist band is perfectly fine, so don't let the "comfort" description mislead you into thinking they don't have a classic design or appearance.
