“With the icy hardpacked conditions these enabled me to travel safely and confidently on steeper slopes. They are snowshoes with aggressive crampons, wickedly good! Were great on the flats and rolling sections, too. I don't know how they will do in deep snow as we have none (sigh), but I bet they will also perform well in powder and Sierra Cement. I appreciated the ease in which I could tighten or loosen the straps. My only suggestion applies to all snowshoes/boots: Apply silicone spray to soles of boots and the snowshoe heel plates as this will eliminate snow/ice packing under the boot. Oh, yeah, at first I thought the toe set up was too small, but it worked just fine. My boot's toe did not move out of position at all. I got the toe section set and then set the heel size to 3 on the heel plate, this made the system function perfectly. Sweet!”
