For a first timer, very easy to use and enjoy the snow here in Australia. I was surprised how well they worked in good fresh and really icy snow. A great (different) way to enjoy winter.

I purchased the Flex NRG snowshoes for an upcoming winter climb to my 3rd and 4th peaks of the Adirondack 46. With 14 inches of fresh powder snow having just fell I took them out for my first ever trek on any snowshoes. I was a bit clumsy at first, but found my stride after half a mile. I found out you still sink into this type of powder even with the shoes. My next trek was a trail I train on frequently with many steep ups and downs, twists and turns. These shoes performed terrifically! All the "give" to make any uneven terrain navigable without undue strain on my ankles or feet. They climb awesome and descend well with minimal slippage. They were a great deal on sale and I found a coupon code online for an additional 30% off! I can't wait to hit the mountain with them. I would recommend these for all around use for your outdoor pursuits.

These were the perfect size. I snowshoe daily in the woods near my house. They are easy to put on and great for getting around.

Seasoned backpacker, beginning snowshoer, 210 lb with gear. Good traction both up and down hill. Easy to attach and walk with, could be tedious on long uphills. Broke through in spots and sunk ~10" in crusty, deep snow which was not expected. Still better than continuous postholing but hoped for better floatation, good experience overall.
