For a first timer, very easy to use and enjoy the snow here in Australia. I was surprised how well they worked in good fresh and really icy snow. A great (different) way to enjoy winter.

Seasoned backpacker, beginning snowshoer, 210 lb with gear. Good traction both up and down hill. Easy to attach and walk with, could be tedious on long uphills. Broke through in spots and sunk ~10" in crusty, deep snow which was not expected. Still better than continuous postholing but hoped for better floatation, good experience overall.

I weigh 215 and travel light. These shoes carry me better than I expected and are stable on all types of mountainous terrain for a 24" shoe.

only used twice so far. Not sure about long term durability but they are tubbs. Tails definitely flex as stated for comfort. Went down some steep icy decents and tracked well. My friend was sliding on other brands.
