Reviewed by JJSkiier from Indiana on Monday, June 3, 2013I bought these as a gift for my father who had wanted snow shoes for years. It was a great starter kit for him since he also wont use them very often being in the Midwest (either get so much snow or none at all here). When my fiance and I bought ours we got a bag to store our shoes and poles in and unfortunately these came loose but you get the added benefit of the gaiters. There are clips that you can clip the shoes together. Personally I would have preferred the storage bag.
They are sturdy quality and great for beginners and my father is looking forward to the first time being able to take them out hopefully this winter.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Snowshoe Newbies from Durango, CO on Wednesday, February 6, 2013We love the quality of the snowshoe, but the shoe itself was awkward when using because although the bindings are designated "right" and "left", the shoe is the same angle at the tip. It curves in on the left on the outside of the shoe (which seemed correct) but the outside of the right shoe does not curve, it is square, and catches the snow. Weird. We are new to snowshoeing, and maybe this is typical, but we didn't like it and are returning the snowshoes.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Cathy from Eastern Oregon on Wednesday, January 23, 2013I am new to snowshoeing so this seemed like a good starter kit. So far, so good. I've only gone once, but they were very easy to put on, and they stayed on and were quite comfortable. It was a plus having the gators and the poles.
