Tubbs

Got these for our 3 year old granddaughter and she used them for the first time today (April 2012 in Alaska) to hike a trail that has several steep inclines, with gradual uphill climbs and then back downhill. The snowshoes worked well and she was able to manage them without any trouble. We still have several feet of snow, but a lot of it had crusted over in the wind, so there were some slippery areas to maneuver as well. She loved her first snowshoeing escapade. The design is perfect for her and we were pleased at how much traction she actually had even though the snowshoes are plastic. The only problem we noted was there was no place to put the extra lengths of strapping after we'd tightened them down. We ended up just tying them together.

They gripped the side hill well. Going up and down easy with the heal step up thing (sorry forgot what its called). The toe is easy to get out but the strap around the heal is a bit more difficult but doable. Over all very happy

These snowshoes are easy to strap in & out of and are very comfortable for all day. The size lets me keep my normal gait. I was afraid the large crampons might be a drag on flatter terrain but they were not. Haven't tried them on anything super steep yet but I expect excellent performance.

These are my first snowshoes but they worked great. I took them 3/4 the way up Mt Hood in Oregon. They are super easy to get on and off. Very sturdy, and had great traction. I am very pleased. I weigh 220 plus extra 50lbs for gear and these snowshoes really feel sturdy.

This is a great way to get kids involved in family wintertime outings.

This is a Christmas gift so will have to wait to see if he enjoys them. They look very sturdy and cute, so am hoping they work out well.
