I am 5'2" and ordered the small size. I washed it as soon as I received it and it fits perfectly, reaching my ankles and wrapping totally around for full coverage. It feels cozy and luxurious and I hate to take it off!

This robe is excellent quality. I have been looking for a full-length robe, as my old one had to finally be retired. Could only find calf-length ones, and I eventually bought one that was quite a bit more expensive from a competitor. Wish I would have seen this one first - would have been able to get 2 of these for just a bit more than I paid for the calf-length one.
The colors are great...I got the pink one and I love it.

I've been looking for a 100% cotton Terry Robe that is floor or ankle length. Hard to find. This one is Great !!!! I originally ordered a Woman's med. (I'm 5 ft 3) It was too big, so exchanged it for a small. The small fits good, but there is a lot of difference between med and small. It's warm and cuddly without making you sweat like fleece does. This robe is good quality and washed very well.
Only weird thing was when I processed the exchange no problem, but when I ordered the small and applied my credit from the exchange it made me Pay an additional 2 cents. So silly. I paid it anyways and it did show up on my credit card bill as a charge for 2 cents. Must be a software problem with the return department. It was funny and stupid at the same time, but not worth the time it would take to call Customer Service etc.

Since I have a hospital visit coming up, I wanted to get a bathrobe for walking the halls. This robe is really red, my favorite color, and so nice and thick. I'm a too portly lady of elderly age, but I still love the flashy color. I needed a large size to cover and the extra large fits the bill. I usually take an extra large, so I'd say this is true to size. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I wanted a softer material. Hopefully, with washing, it will soften more. I washed it once and it did shorten a little, which is fine since I'm short (5'3") and (warning) it bled, but I expected that with red cotton terry. All in all, I'm quite pleased.
Back center lengths are measured from the bottom of the collar at the neck hem to the bottom hem.

It is measured from the base of the collar.|Which means it doesn't include the collar width.|These are really long robes. I'm 5'4 and size L touches top of my ankles.

It's actually longer than that. I wanted it to be 53" as that was the length of my previous robe and it was perfect. This one is 56" from the bottom of the collar at the back. I am 5'5" and the medium comes all the way to my ankles.

Mine measures exactly 53 inches from the collar base to the hem. I hope this helps you.

I bought one of these robes--it does not include the collar.

My husband is 6'1" and I am 5'7" we both got this robe from Santa. It is well below knee length, more like ankle length. We wanted that. It does shrink a little bit with the first washing.

probably only a large... it's big. I'm usually a solid size medium but I'm short (I'm by no means tiny) but this thing swims on me and I got a small. There is enough extra material to make my dog a robe!

I ordered the large first and I'm usually size 16. The large robe is so roomy I'm giving it to a heavy set family member and I'll keep the Medium which is the second one I ordered. I definitely would not order extra large!!! I'd try the large first if you like a lot of room. The cost is so reasonale, you can't go wrong having two of these in different colors!! I use Sierra's credit card so the shippingis free!

The L might be just fine, but I'd order the XL if you intend to put it in the dryer since it's cotton.
