Closeouts. Beneath the brushed twill exterior of Twist's Stillwater Garage jacket, you'll find not only the warmth of pile backing, but also a specially designed membrane that increases wind and water resistance without diminishing breathability.

I'm impressed with this natural fiber, jacket length garment that is nice to the feel, comfortable on a cold day and the brushed twill exterior looks like it was made to go with my denim pants. It's lightly insulated, not a bulky blizzard buster like a down car coat, but will keep me toasty, in style, for a moderate time in the frigid elements when paired with some gloves and a cap or scarf. I wear it on those dry days to block the cold getting in and out of the car during a shopping trip or walking the dogs around the block to the park. I can leave the expensive synthetic parka, made for the slopes, in the closet. The snap up front holds the body warmth when needed and allows increasing feel of ventilation as each fastener is opened. Zippered pockets are well done quality features that add an edge to the neo-western look and add security to my cell phone, keys and shades from disappearing. I was a little put off by the high unpadded shoulders, but the size large is tailored to my "athletic" frame (42 chest, 34 waist). I plan to get several years of everyday cold season wear from this well made jacket.
