    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    This is difficult, because in many ways this skirt is absolutely beautiful, and a great bargain. But I returned it. The main reason is the color.. it's just drab. The second reason is the simple elastic waist, which is a little weird given the beautiful detail on the rest of the skirt. But I probably would have kept it if it were black or a richer brown.. If you think you'll like the color and don't mind an unfitted waist, snap this up quick!

    I saw this skirt in a local boutique, and thought the smocking detail was unusual, beautifully done, and gave the skirt lively movement. The retail price, however, put it out of my reach. I was very pleased to find the same item at Sierra Trading Post at less than half the retail price, and in a more neutral color. If I could change anything, I would like a fully-realized waistband instead of elastic.
