Closeouts. You don’t have to be trekking the Yukon to appreciate the insulating warmth and eVent® waterproof suede of Ulu’s Alyeska boots. A furry shearling collar and lining regulate temperature and soften your step, and suede-tipped laces criss cross up the ankle.

Just got these boots and have only worn them a couple times. They performed really well in the wet 30-degree range temperatures. Haven't had a chance to try them out now that the weather has turned frigid again but I'm certain they will be up to the task. I was a tiny bit disappointed that the "shearling" advertized was not wool. I'm pretty sure it isn't anyway. Still a happy customer though.

I wanted good sturdy boots for walking dog and these are PERFECT. Warm, sturdy, great traction. You can't really just slip into them, though. They need to be tied up to make them snug around the ankle, and there's no tongue on these boots. So it takes a little working to get them off, especially. But they're worth it!

These are the boots I was looking for: very comfortable, easy to walk in for boots, great looking, stylish, easy on my so sensitive feet. I love to wear them with no socks so I can snuggle my feet in the warm inner fleece. I am very happy with this purchase.

I moved to Garmisch, Germany this fall from Utah and didn't really anticipate how wet it would be. Since I walk the dog daily, I needed good rain and snow gear. I ordered these boots because they seemed to fit the bill-waterproof, warm, comfy...and they do. I wear them daily for walking and hiking with my dog in snow or on icy or slushy paths. My feet don't get wet or cold and they are comfortable. I am a size 10 in athletic shoe, 9.5 in dress shoe and I ordered the 10 to wear with thicker socks if I needed them. So far, I haven't needed thick socks but the boots still fit well. I have a narrow foot and sometimes have arch support trouble, but these boots really have been more than comfortable. Also, with all of the slush and dirty snow, they have stayed clean. I highly recommend them and hope they last me a long, long time. Plus, they are as cute as the photos show.

I use these walking the dogs, playing in the yard, sledding, pre- and apres- ski. shopping in snowy weather. They are everything I had hoped for in a snow boot

I have an active breed dog who requires 2+ hours of off leash walks per day. I don't have a yard so no matter what I've got to get out and walk her. Last week I wore these boots everyday as it was cold here around 10-15 most days. My feet did not get cold even after walking in the foothills for 2 hours. I got a lot of compliments in the office when I wore them to work. In fact one of my friends is returning her Uggs to get these because the traction and foot bed are so much better. To be honest the shearling is not quite as decadent as Uggs BUT I cannot hike around in something as supportive as a bedroom slipper –those days are over for my feet. I love these boots because I don't need to wear socks, they are warm, breathable and comfortable, they have great traction and the sole is somewhat rigid which is perfect for my problem feet. Once the shearling is totally packed down I think I might wear a light sock. The removable food bed is great because I can replace it more easily with my orthotic if I wear these for a long winter hike. I wear a true 6.5 and I purchased a 6.5 but like I said I wear them without socks. I tried Ulu on in a store in a size 7 was too big and wide for me –AND STP price was 100.00 less than that store! If you have a wider foot or plan to wear socks go at least a 1/2 size up.

Though I really liked these boots, they were not particularly easy to get into which would be a problem when getting out of downhill or xcountry ski boots in the cold and wind. I can't imagine trying to lace these boots up while standing in freezing/wet conditions.
I think they would be great for cold weather commuting or casual wear, but that's not how I would use them.

Loved this boot, but sadly too short. I was also worried about it's being waterproof since Chicago can be miserably sloppy and slushy. Not appropriate for my needs, but think it could be the perfect winter boot for others. Order a full size bigger than you wear.
