They do run small. i'm usually a 6 so got 6.5 I could probably gone to a 7 and worn hiking socks ( although my feet may have spontaneously combusted!!)Heel cup is very hard and because of the style of the boot they have skinned my heels. That may have been alleviated by a 7. I'm not giving up though!! I think if you have a high arch they could be a problem. There is a seam which runs over the top of the boot which is quite tight.
