Ulu Suora Winter Boots - Waterproof Insulated (For Women)

These boots are too small. They are attractive, but order a 1/2 size up.

Per a different review I ordered a half size smaller because I don't wear socks with my Ugg's, so I won't/don't with these boots either (I really needed winter boots too and the only size I could order was one that was a half size smaller too). The boots were a little tight and hard to get on the first time. I wore them for two straight days and they never really hurt but were tight in the heel. They will stretch and be a perfect fit in a month or so. I have to say they are really, really soft and warm under jeans, pants and I wore them with a short skirt and they are so much fun.

I read every review I could for every style of Ulu boot to get clear insight into the accuracy of the sizing for the brand. There are so many differences between styles! My feet are a little on the wide side and an average size 6 1/2 with a lot of flexibility in my feet and ankles. The 6 1/2 in this style fits me perfectly without socks or with thin socks. The toe box is wide and accommodating. I have athletic calves and sometimes have trouble with the fit of boots, but these are fine. I don't think I would be able to tuck in anything but the skinniest of jeans, but that's okay. They are great looking, quality boots and look like they will also be durable. I would buy them again, definitely.

Best boots I've had in a few winters

These boots are wonderfully warm and comfortable. I did not feel any stiffness or rubbing. Unfortunately, they were defected. I had to return them. Where the fleece overlapps on the top of the boot the fleece on the inside of the left boot was missing. It looked very strange. If not for this defect I would have been thrilled with the boots.

I spend a good amount of outdoor time in these boots as we have had a good 3 feet of snow recently. They are GREAT in snow, but a bit dicey on ice. Some of our roads are undriveable, so I walk several blocks in the snow. My job takes me outside when it the really cold; -20 with the windchill; I am a photographer and must get around with ease and not fall while transporting all my equipment. These boots are nice. And stylish (I work on a college University, so there needs to be SOME style in what I wear). I do have two gripes about them, however. While my feet, in general are warm and dry, my toes can get pretty cold. Not quite painfully cold, but almost there! I wear wool socks and I did buy the boots slighter larger than my normal shoe size so that there would be more loft in the shearling and keep my feet warmer. If I could redesign them, besides adding more warmth in the toe area, I would add better traction for icy conditions. They are overall a great boot and I would have purchased another pair in black if it had not sold out. Above 20 degrees , an A+, under 10 degrees, a C.

I used these boots in sunny weather, foggy weather, dry weather, snowing weather, rainy weather, icy weather. I felt invincible when using it in snow. My feet stayed dry :) . I recommend breaking the boots in with socks because the ankle part is really tough and can be quite uncomfortable during the break-in period. But it provides a nice support when walking in inch-deep snow (as I have), because it prevents you from twisting your ankle. The boots are not great for walking on dry land because they're heavy so it can tire your feet. They are warm, but I found that my toes still stay cold when I'm outside. It might just be me--the tip of my fingers stay cold even when I wear gloves. You just gotta get moving and creating heat. All in all I think these boots are great. They work the best in keeping your feet dry in snow, keeps the cold weather wind away, and does provide insulation warmth once you get walking. They're also very fashionable.

I love my new winter boots they are warm and easy to slip on.

Love these boots! My only con is that their bulk takes a little getting used to. But, Actually, for their purpose, one can't really expect any less bulk.
