It's tight in the hips, but I have wider hips and it does fit. What surprised me instead was that it's rather short, so I have to sit/bend carefully. The material is very nice and soft and the sleeves are long enough.

Unlike other reviews I did not feel that the top was larger than the bottom. Ordered XL would probably fit a medium size person nicely since the style is not suppose to be clingy.

I have what I would say is an athletic build and have some junk in the trunk. This did not fit well over my hips and back end. It is very narrow and just didn't work for me. Sad to send it back. This was true of the other United by Blue product I ordered as well.

Cute, but bizarre fit—best for somebody who's broad on top but has narrow hipsReviewed by SJS from NYC on Wednesday, December 28, 2016I'm about 5'7" and 125 pounds, usually around a size 2—sometimes bigger in shirts, since I have broad-ish shoulders but a small bust, and usually a size 25 in jeans. I first ordered an XS in this dress, and I could barely button it over my hips. I exchanged it for a size small, and even that was too tight across the hips—while being baggy and bulky in the chest, waist and shoulders. (Usually, given my shape, I have the opposite problem with shirt dresses: Often they fit everywhere but in the chest/shoulders/armpits, where they're tight.) If I sized up to a medium, the top half of this dress would be way too loose, so I'm giving up. Too bad. The tan color was quite nice (especially on olive-toned skin like mine), and the fabric's soft and cool.
