U.S. Divers Grande Vista Adult Snorkeling Set

Very impressed with this set. We used them for our week in Aruba and they were very comfy and the mask has a very broad view and a good seal. I have zero complaints. Can't wait to visit the Sergeant Majors again, they are such a delight.

Overall - great product for the $'s. The fins were stiff and difficult to use. The mask and snorkel were great quality. Easy to adjust mask. Easy to clear snorkel.

We bought two sets after reading prior positive reviews and just got back from 7 days in St. Martin where we snorkeled every day. Masks worked perfectly, the mouthpieces worked great, and fins were nice, too. Way better than the "loaner" gear that we'd used on a prior trip!

An excellent value product! My fiance and I each used our own set for 30 or more hours of snorkeling over eight days in the Virgin Islands with few problems. While others in the family developed blisters from different flippers, our feet stayed comfy. Loosening the adjustment on the flippers was a little hard, but tightening was a snap. The special snorkel that doesn't (usually) allow water to enter was useful despite my initial skepticism. Regular snorkels had always served me well in the past, but the new design allows you to be downright lazy with your technique. Occasionally, we had to adjust the gasket on the mechanism, but that was a minor issue. The mask sealed very well, but the old-style strap did pull our hair a bit. There are certainly better products out there, but for the money this set is great.

It was easy to compare prices on this snorkel, mask and fin set, and STP had the lowest price on the web by at least $30. As for the set itself, it's a fine entry- to mid-level snorkel set. The mask is shaped well and has good peripheral vision, the snork is valved against swamping, and the split fins improve efficiency and help keep you from tiring in the water. Having its own bag included is also handy. I always prefer to pack at least my own snork and mask when I travel; I simply dislike using shared equipment even when it's well cared for. And having one's own mask is an enormous convenience, as anyone who's ever spent too much time tugging on rubber straps to adjust a mask they've borrowed from the hotel or marina will appreciate. The quality and price of this set makes it easy to take along your own equipment, and not have to rely on the loaners.

I bought this so I wouldn't have to use the free gear at resorts. Gross. How many people have used that stuff? For the price you can't beat it. This is way better quality. The no leak feature on the snorkel is fantastic. No salt water in your mouth:)

We are planning a trip to Key West. The first trip we tried to buy gear on the way down. The gear was over priced and the quality was bad. I saw these and bought a set for each member of the family for less than one pair regular. Thanks [...]

Purchased for use on a vacation.

This set was a great fit for me; I was snorkeling at a reef in calm waters and in choppy waters and the snorkel was great. It kept water from coming in even when the waves would go over me. It was very useful for my purposes.
