These shoes are super lightweight and fit like a dream. I like them so much I find myself wearing them out and about with Jeans instead of just on the trails! I haven't had them out in the rain or mud yet so I don't know how they will hold up to wet conditions. Overall, great shoes!!

These have the potential to be excellent trail shoes, with rugged soles and good stability, and the lacing system is pretty cool. But they have two major drawbacks - number one, they don't have much cushioning. They're useful, but ouch! Uncomfortable. Number two, they started falling apart on my third run! The uppers actually started delaminating, and I had to take them back. Really, REALLY poor quality control, especially for a Vasque product.

REally wanted to love these shoes, and for about a week, until they started to self destruct, I did! As others have said, the trim on them came unglued quickly, the rip stop sides ripped and the Boa lacing system stopped working. I love Vasque and wear the brand most every day, but these were MAJOR disappointment!

I got this shoe after reading the positive reviews. I like the lacing system a lot, and they are very lightweight and comfortable. I run on dirt roads, so traction is key and this did not disappoint. I would reiterate the comment about the tongue/knob irritating the ankle. The tongue comes up a bit high becuase of the knob and rubs the wrong way. I am bummed, I love the traction and style.

Trail shoes are a stiffer and more stable shoe. It offers more support to your ankle since you do not have even landing surfaces when trekking a trail. They also have a more aggressive tread to grips on a variety of surfaces. They are a nice addition, but I prefer my normal running shoes as trail shoes are just too stiff for me.

I didn't think I needed these either and got them primarily to please my husband. I was glad I did from the first wear. I haven't done much TRAIL running in them, but they've been great for the other running and walking I've done. Plus they're so comfortable and cool that I don't feel the usual frantic rush to rip them off after a workout.
