Excellent use for Comm. tower climbing & steel work. Superior full length composite shank offers stability for standing on narrow angles for long periods of time. Lightweight and good insulation factor. Mountaineering boots have found a new application as industrial workboots lose their shanks! Thanks STP.

my cousin tried the shoes and felt the soles where a bit narrow though it felt very comfortable and sturdy. I pointed out that the construction in front of the shoes where the sole and the front tongue glued together might separate over time, so my cousin decided not to keep the pair of shoe, so I returned the pair before it was worn outside the house. Sierra trading post price is excellent for this shoes once it's on sale and this would be a hit for a buyer who just use it for casual walks and everyday use but it might be a miss if it is use for roughing it in the woods if the glue in front of the shoe doesn't hold.

This boot just isn't as comfortable as I expected or hoped. I have other mountaineering boots, so it's not the stiffness that bothers me. Something is just off with the way it fits around the ankle, and also the sides. There are definitely was better boots in this price range. Check out the La Sportiva Glacier Evo...a way better boot.
