my cousin tried the shoes and felt the soles where a bit narrow though it felt very comfortable and sturdy. I pointed out that the construction in front of the shoes where the sole and the front tongue glued together might separate over time, so my cousin decided not to keep the pair of shoe, so I returned the pair before it was worn outside the house. Sierra trading post price is excellent for this shoes once it's on sale and this would be a hit for a buyer who just use it for casual walks and everyday use but it might be a miss if it is use for roughing it in the woods if the glue in front of the shoe doesn't hold.

This boot just isn't as comfortable as I expected or hoped. I have other mountaineering boots, so it's not the stiffness that bothers me. Something is just off with the way it fits around the ankle, and also the sides. There are definitely was better boots in this price range. Check out the La Sportiva Glacier Evo...a way better boot.

well made boot thats light but still gives great support. these boots will work well in moderate conditions on steep slopes where crampons will be needed. i wouldn't wear them in extreme cold, since they have no insulation. great for what they're designed for.

I wore them the first day in 2-3 inches of snow and one boot leaked on top of the toe, and the other on the side of foot. I wasnt to happy about spending over $150 for gore-tex and getting leaks.

I'm outside all day in mountain conditions and these boots keep me warm and dry. When conditions are wet the traction isn't the best but snow and glaciers are not a problem.
