Vasque Axis Gore-Tex® Hiking Boots - Waterproof (For Women)

Very comfortable - durable and clean up easily

The site recommends that you buy a half size up, which I did, and it fits perfectly. I didn't have to break them in at all, they were very comfortable on even the first wear and have terrific ankle support which I definitely appreciate. The grip is good, and although it doesn't have significant arch support, orthotics are easy enough to slip in. I haven't tested the waterproof functionality yet but I already know I am happy with these shoes.

I think the hiking boots would have been great if they had fit. I ordered a size bigger and they were still too small so I sent them back. Unfortunately there wasn't a lager size available to replace them.

These boots have a stiff midsole material unlike other Vasque trail shoes that I own which have an eva midsole. The result is no cushioning and will get very little use.

I like the boots and they were pretty comfortable right out of the box. the only sore spot was where they pressed on the back of my heel/leg at the top of the boot.

With the warning about the smaller size, I ordered 1/2 bigger than the size I usually wear but unfortunately it is still too small.

The fit is excellent. The boots are comfortable and required a single wearing to break-in. The comfort was beyond my expectations, and they are lightweight, too. I count these among the most comfortable footwear I own.
