Vasque Breeze Low Hiking Boots (For Men)

I had a earlier version of a Vasque low hiker and used it for casual wear all the way up to a day hike to the top of Mt. Whitney. It held up very well for 8 seasons. The Breeze has more room in the toe box and its best feature is a quality Vibram sole. In addition, it breathes better than it predecessor. It was between the Breeze and the Salomon Elios. The Breeze won out because of my prior good experience, and because it was more roomy yet snug enough to cling to the foot. (I have an average width foot.) My only complaint is the arch support -- the boot is too flat. Since, I wear orthotics (over-the-counter SuperFeet), that problem is solved. If not for that, I give this five stars. If there was a 4.5 I would have given it that.

Had the high boots and just had to add the low version for shorter hikes
