I've had great Vasque boots for years but I have cycled through low-cut North Face and Patagonia shoes that couldn't get the job done. I found these on close out and figured I'd give them a whirl. I've used them so far for a bunch of hikes around Shenandoah, as well as during the winter to keep my feet dry. They are comfy, and give good support while hiking. I only wear taller boots when I'm carrying weight. These are great for everything up to a daypack on my back, allowing me to move quickly. Because they're light they don't slow me down the way other boots sometimes do. I have a foot shape that is generally too wide for regular fits and too narrow for wide shows. For whatever reason, these fit well. Vasque now has me as a customer for life when it comes to boots. Well done!

Used these shoes 1st at the beach, taking about 45 minutes to get to it & did not have a problem on the trail & was surprised at how well they work in the sand. Wore them for 2 hours the previous day & were broken in quickly. They are going to be a great hiker.

    • Answer Lots of shoes and boots these days I have to try and try again.|These were correct for 10 1/2, which suprised me a little. The toe is boxy, but I think that is how they are made.

    • Answer I have found Vasgues run true to size across their product line. I often hike in an 11 but can interchange with a 10.5W. Like many people, I have a wide foot but not a wide heel. Shoe manufacturers don't get it and make the heel too wide for many folks causing heel slippage. I stick heel wedges (Spenco heel lifts) under the inner sole to compenstate.

    • Answer These are considered a low as they are about the height of regular athletic shoes.
