I hike 4-5 days per week in the Tetons and was so tired of blisters, toe problems, etc. Finally went back to Vasque after my last pair wore out years ago. I really like these shoes, they look great, lightweight, well-built and supportive. Perhaps too well-built as the tops of the shoes cut into my ankles and I had to return them. I run into that problem a lot, so it's probably not the shoes' fault, rather, my weird feet that are the problem. I would recommend these shoes for someone with perhaps a more normal foot. I should know better than to buy shoes without trying them on. But these are nice for the right person.

Did not fit properly so I had to return them. I am a standard 6 length and my big toe rubbed. My foot is a little wide but normally fine in sneakers. My small toe was also rubbing on the side. Not the right shoe for me unfortunately.

I live in ottawa, it is cold here. These shoes are very hot on the feet, they do not seem to breath. As much as I love the sturdiness of them, I cannot imagine wearing them out when there is no snow on the ground. They are waterproof so far. But I have another pair of waterproof hiking shoes that are not as hot, would go back to these if I was going on a long hike. I fear my sweating feet would slide around in these.
