I bought these as trail running shoes because I like hiking shoes to run in verses "trail running" shoes. The insole is such poor quality though that the shoes feel cheaply made. I was disappointed as I feel Vasque has a good reputation for high quality shoes.

I have a small, narrow foot with a size of 5. I was afraid of getting this shoe online because I though the sizing would be off without proper fitting like I would get at the store. But, I was QUITE pleased when I found that the size was perfect for me. The sizing was true to what the website said. Great job Sierra Trading Post! It is incredibly hard for me to find shoes my size and that I do not have to break in. No problem at all with breaking in on these shoes. Vasque is quickly becoming my favorite brand of shoes. And, the price was very affordable. I strongly suggest this shoe brand as you will be quite happy with it.

I bought a size 5.5 because I usually wear size 5-6. My foot is slightly narrow and they fit very well. I often have a problem of the shoe being too wide but these are not, so I wouldn't recommend these for a wide foot. They are lightweight and the traction is good. My heel hasn't been rubbed at all and the shoes felt broken in very fast.

I first bought these shoes after being diagnosed with Plantars Facitis.....they were THE ONLY SHOES I could walk in without pain. Needless to say, I lived in them for 3 months. They were comfortable, pain free the moment I put them on, no break in time. I have reordered them over & over these past 3 years...a few pairs at a time. I walk daily up hills for an hour, in wet grass, & I have a very weak ankle, no worries here when wearing these shoes.  Sad they have been discontinued...need a replacement style!
