Reviewed by Elaine the walker from Florida on Monday, November 4, 2013This shoe would have worked for me, but one shoe had a flaw, a large hump on sole.
It ran a little large, so my custom orthodic fit perfect.
Reviewed by Eville Elle from CA on Wednesday, September 11, 2013I bought these shoes for a trip to Alaska, which included an 8-mile hike on a very steep incline/decline. Complicating matters, I broke my toe earlier in the month and, up until that point, was having trouble wearing anything but sandals. Luckily, the toe box on these shoes is not horizontally narrow, and it has ample clearance vertically; I was able to wear the shoes for the entire trip without any pain or pressure on my healing toe. On the hike, the soles outperformed my wildest expectations, gripping a trail that was loose and, at points, rather gravelly. I wasn't able to put a whole lot of weight on the foot with the broken toe, so I really had to depend upon my right foot and the soles to grip the trail. Honestly, I don't think the hike would have been possible without these excellent shoes. I bought a size 7. They seemed about half a size roomy at first, but they don't slip off the foot and, especially when paired with my Smartwool socks, they are a perfect fit. I did kinda regret the hike, but I definitely did not regret the shoe purchase. These are a must-have!
Reviewed by Raftx from NY on Thursday, August 1, 2013For the price these shoes can't be beat! Good support. I need a pair of shoes to support my inside ankle, and this pair fits the bill.
Reviewed by Walker from Boston area on Thursday, June 6, 2013I'm on my fourth pair (I walk 5 miles/day), and only replace them when they wear out. These are the most comfortable shoes for me.
Reviewed by thirsty from not in the city on Thursday, May 30, 2013These are sturdy enough to use as hiking shoes (without backpack). Very sturdy and cut resistant material. They dry quickly when they get wet.
