Well made shoe and light and the gore-tex lining a definite plus but too narrow a fit in the medium width; my wife does not have a wide foot shape and normally a medium width is more than sufficient even when wearing a thicker sock. Sent these back and purchased a pair of boots made by Asolo which in the medium width did provide her with a very comfortable fit.

Comfortable, sturdy and I was able to wear them all day the first day I got them. I think it'll take about a week or so before I'd be comfortable hiking in them, but just for walking around, they are quite comfortable. Excellent price, too.

When I put them on, my feet said "thank you -- we're home". There was no break-in time. They were comfy from minute one. Just great. With my new wool and cushiony socks, I wore them for about 5 days in a row in the cold Arizona desert mornings. They are very comfy for walking and evey riding my bike in the RV park where we snowbird. Could it be true, shoes so good? Guess not (4 stars and not 5, above). There was/is a poorly finished corner on the tongue where it folds in, on the inside of my foot, thereby causing a sore on my foot. Until I can figure out how to fix it, I can not wear them again. But I do love the shoes...

I also used them while taking a basic pistol training class and concealed carry weapon (CCW). We spent a lot of time on the shooting range and my feet stayed dry, warm and confortable.

This is my second pair in a year just because I wanted to switch out of another brand as I alternate boots. I stepped into my Vasque and did six miles on a rainy day with no problem.
