First of all, these pair looks great and professional! I've tried it for two weeks and have to use band-aids everyday. Moreover, the insole in the right moves all the way up while walking. I guess I'll wear it more before I launch my first trip. I still want to use it because it's water resistant and provides ankle support. Hope the stiff upper will be softer soon.

I really liked the look of these. Just basic brown leather - like my old Timberlands. At first they seemed great. High comfy arch and solid treads. I wore them around the house and they started rubbing funny on my ankle and top of my foot where the tongue is on the boot. It sort of broke my heart cause I was really into having another pair of great where everywhere, jump in the mud and climb up a hill type boots. I think these would be great on another person's foot - just didn't work quite right for mine. They'd really be worth a try however. Solid, beautiful, nicely made - in ITALY and a great price too.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I normally wear a 7 1/2, but bought these boots in a 7 because I have a narrow foot. These were too long and too wide for me; my foot slipped around and I would have gotten blisters had I worn them. The arch hit my foot in the wrong place and the boots felt like they had no support. My son-in-law, an avid hiker, looked them over and said they would not be water-resistant/waterproof because of the amount of stitching. I returned the boots.

I hike 2 to 3 miles with my dogs, up and down our mountain, 5 days a week. The boots provide ample support and stay relatively snug to my feet; they are waterproof but not warm. There are other Vasque lasts that I find better, but no boots that can also double as street shoes in town.

we live in the country and wear these shoes when outdoors. We have hills, wetlands, steams, and sandy dunes, not to mention lots of land with gardens, horse's chicken's rabbits. We are always outdoors and "like" these shoes alot. Rain, snow, sunny days I have the perfect shoes for outdoors. I just wish i could wear them to work!
