Vasque Super Alpinista Mountaineering Boots (For Men and Women)

I haven't used these enough to comment on performance. I have a terrible time finding boots for my wide feet, and these fit well. More rocker to the sole would be nice for hiking. The interior is covered with a very coarse mesh that gives the boots a sandpaper feel on bare feet. I haven't been able to tell yet if that friction will translate to blisters while wearing socks. Overall it seems like a very warm design.

Great boots at an unbelievable price. I rated these boots 4 stars only because I have not yet had a chance to use them. But so far I am very pleased with the boots themselves. I puchased them one half size larger than my street shoes and they fit great with my SmartWool mountaineering socks. I would buy them again!!!!

Snow hiking, snow shoeing and used with crampons in cold winter conditions. Kept me warm while keeping me comfortable. Would recommend.

Great Boot for most winter activities. As a Paramedic/Ski patroler I use this boot quite often from everything from working under the lift line to back country rescues. This boot performs very well in all tempatrues that I have encountered.

I use this boot when I'm going to be in the snow all day. works great with crampons, snow-shoes and just plain kick-stepping. My feet are comfy and warm but never too hot or sweaty. These boots are pretty stiff, so I don't wear them on long trail approaches. When you do wear them on trail, be sure to wear them loose at the top, as they have limited flex (closer to a ski boot than a hiking shoe). Great deal. Great boot. These suckers will last many more years of Cascade climbing!
