Vasque Velocity 2.0 Trail Shoes (For Men)

Closeouts. Reloaded and redesigned, the Vasque's Velocity 2.0 trail shoes return with hiking-shoe armor and lightweight, breathable trail-runner performance. A TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) plate provides ample stability with underfoot protection, and a Mako outsole features aggressive, self-cleaning lugs that dig into the trail for traction.

Used as a hiking shoe here in the San Juan mountains and most recently during a high altitude trek in Peru. Wet shoes not much of an issue for day hikes but I'm thinking about getting the waterproof version for my next multi-day hike.

If the Vasque Breeze Low GTX is not available in your size, although this shoe is a step down, it is an acceptable alternative. You can really take off running in these if required (better than the Breeze). I wouldn't carry more than a 20lb pack. The yellow is REALLY bright and gets dirty quickly!
