Bought these hiking boots for my husband. He loves them. After wearing the vasque sandles with this same lacing sysytem, he kept wishing for bootsthe same. Here they are. He loves the lacing sysytem.

Excellent boots for easy on and off to go outside in the cold and wet weather. Great traction for the rough terrain. The challenge is with the lacing system adjustment. You have to constanly tweek it to get it between too tight and too loose. Once it is dialed in, they are like slippers.

Now have had boots over a half year. Initially tight in toe box, but gave them a chance and broke in well - now very comfortable. Spend lot of time on water paddling and boots have kept me relatively dry considering not listed as waterproof. Traction is pretty good, but not great. Weight and support of boots are excellent - great for everyday or for extended hiking. Love the cable lace system, though have one strand of a cable that has already broke and did not receive extra cables or any instructions on how to change cables. Be prepared to continually turn heads and be center of attention when racheting/tightening cables!
