Verified Buyer Reviewed by ronin from new york on Monday, May 5, 2014This is a great backpack. Took it on a 15 mile hike with probably around 60 lbs on it..tent, food and mostly water as there were not a lot of water sources. Very comfortable and adjustable to suit any body frame. The only thing that was a little issue was the angle on how the side pockets were positioned. Placing water bottles for easy access on both sides werent as easy getting to it while strapped on because of the angle. but other than that, I love this pack and would buy another one for the wifre
Reviewed by Mia in Arvada from Minneapolis on Monday, February 3, 2014I bought this after reading all the good reviews about how comfortable it was and well made. But after I got I realized that it didn't have separate compartment for the sleeping bag so it was going to be very trying and time consuming to pack everything from bottom to top and then having to try to retrieve the tent, tent poles, inflatable air mattress, clothes, accessories to get to my sleeping bag. In other words I was going to have unpack EVERYTHING in order to get to one thing and no matter how organized I am, it wasn't going to be efficient enough; especially during inclement weather when I need to quickly access certain items. The fit, harness, motion seemed great though I wasn't impressed by the thin shoulder straps. I have kind of bony shoulders so it wasn't super comfortable. Overall, this backpack wasn't for me.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Natty B from Thomasville, GA on Sunday, October 14, 2012This pack is really great. It is the perfect size: not too big, but big enough for the essentials. I really like that the straps are adjustable (sizes s to xl) so that I can use it and my sister can use it when she goes on a trip. It's super comfortable and the blue color is very attractive.

Most airlines allowable carry on dimensions are 22”x14”x9” for a total of 45” linear (all together) and weighs 40 lbs. However you may want to check with your air carrier since these may vary some from carrier to carrier.
The Astra Light 60 fits torsos lengths from 14" to 24". It features an adjustable torso length system.
“Is it frameless product or does it come with a frame, if it comes with a frame, is it Aluminum Frame or any other non metal frame”
Yes the dimensions are correct. Backpack volume is not measured by using the external dimensions as you would with a box. The new standard uses balls, a piston, and cylinder to measure backpack volumes. The pack is filled with 20mm balls, then the balls are dumped into the cylinder to determine what the volume is.
The Vaude Astra Light 60 Backpack does not have an included rain-fly. Sorry!
