I set the tent up inside as there is still two feet of snow outside here. It went up really fast and easy. I am 6'3" 220lbs and this tent fits me comfortably. Plenty of length, but I wouldn't call it a two person unless you are very comfortable with that other person! I can sit up cross legged and I... Read More

I took a chance and bought this tent for my solo backpacking trip through the Scottish Highlands. I walked a long distance route carrying all of my gear with me (believe me it got HEAVY!) but I am ever so glad I purchased this tent. It is built for 2, but with all of my gear it made a perfect non-claustrophobic solo tent.
I will say that it stood up to the wind, the vents were amazing for airflow when it was sunny (the rare occasion in Scotland), and when the rain came I stayed dry.
There was an occasion when the wind howled and the rain poured down from 4AM all into the late morning. At 10AM when I decided to pack up and continue walking despite the horrible weather,I was thrilled to be DRY! My sleeping bag was dry, my gear was dry... I was so astonished that I started testing and poking the tent, which of course ended with me getting wet. I will say that when I started moving around and rolled up my sleeping bag and sleeping mat, that water had come up from the bottom of the tent even though it had a tarp underneath it. This might seem like a bad thing, and I wasn't too thrilled getting my knees damp, HOWEVER, I should also note that when I opened the fly of the tent to have a look outside I found that once dry land had turned into a swamp overnight. There was a huge puddle/pond that had formed in front of (and I assume underneath) my tent. I can't believe that this tent did as well as it did. If it had rained anymore I might have floated away :-) It did take a long time to dry out, but I was forced to roll it up soaking wet, while it was still raining, and the only chance I had to dry it was hanging from a rafter in a mountain bothy the next night.
This tent performed beautifully and I found other backpackers were envious of it's awesome-ness. Oh, another plus, the interior is very bright and cheery which made it super easy to find and kill the pesky Scottish midges that managed to sneak in whenever I opened the fly.
I loved all the customization available with the vents, but I recommend that you bring a few extra pegs with you for when you want to secure every flap down.
I love this tent! I can't wait to use it again on another adventure.

It is awkward to set up, broke a cross-pole on the first set-up. Vestibule is nearly non-existent. However, it is lightweight for 2 person, even though small (not a large 2 person tent at all). Ventilation is good for single wall tent as I had it out in a rain storm the second set-up.

Beautifully made of high quality material. Lots of ventilation.
Pole insertion requires getting inside the tent or having a second person to assist.
Comes with 8 pegs but needs about 11 for secure fixation. Roll up sides are nice but appear difficult to secure in wind or driving rain. Peak vents are nice but cannot be closed if needed in high wind.
Included footprint very handy and the weight out of the box for tent + fly was essentially as advertised.
The vestibule is quite small and would really only hold a day pack or a couple pairs of boots.
I returned it unused for the reasons listed above; I certainly wouldn't call it a 3 season product, at least not in AK.

Plenty of length, but I wouldn't call it a two person unless you are very comfortable with that other person! I can sit up cross legged and I still have a bunch of headroom. It is made of high quality materials, very light but strong. The rolling up sides are a cool feature. I can't wait to take it up to the BWCAW this spring. I will add an update after I take it outside a couple of times.
